Bilal Abu Khalaf – OLD CITY JERUSALEM

Bilal is a wellkown textile merchant in the Old City of Jerusalem who imports cotton, silk and gold cloths from Syria and India. His beautiful and unique fabrics are used for curtains, cushions, furniture and more. Among Bilal’s clients are Christian priests, Muslim imams and ultra-Orthodox Jews. Visitors are always welcome at Bilal’s shop who welcomes guests from around the world and tells his story and that of his father and grandfather who started the business of trading these precious fabrics from Syria and India. Bilal Abu-Khalaf confessed to us, “The Old City is in my blood. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. ”
